But for us, “DIY Felting” means so much more. It’s the story of how this craft became a sanctuary.
My own story with needle felting began at a time when life felt a little heavy. I was searching for a creative outlet, and that’s when I discovered it: the gentle, rhythmic poke of the needle, slowly turning a cloud of wool into something real. Something heartfelt.
My first creations were far from perfect. But in those lopsided little faces, I found a profound joy—not in achieving perfection, but in the very act of making. However, I also remember the frustration of not knowing where to start or which materials to choose.
That moment of challenge is precisely why DIYFELTING exists today. We’re here to make sure your start is smooth, fun, and deeply satisfying.

100% natural, hand-selected. Our wool is predominantly fine Australian Merino — soft, smooth, and perfect for most projects. For base layers or pieces that need quick shaping, we use Queensland Merino, which felts faster and holds structure firmly. Two types, one purpose: the right wool for every part of your creation.
